How time flies

Merry Christmas!

It’s been awhile since our last update. The weather has gotten colder, we both have been working too much, as usual, and we managed to fit in some traveling.

Our trip out to Philadelphia to visit Grandma Simpers was wonderful. We were there for a burial, but being with B’s family and seeing Philly was beautiful. We ate great food, drank good wine, and visited & chatted until bedtime. We saw the liberty bell, the love statue, and ate a Philly cheesesteak.

And now it’s Christmas! We had a lovely evening in & traded stockings, a lovely morning with homemade whole wheat chocolate chip pancakes made with Brendan’s new Kitchenaid, & a nice warm fire. Some family will come tonight and we’ll eat & drink & hang out. These moments are the only gifts we need.
